Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei (FEEM) will participate to several key global events during the upcoming Climate Week NYC (September 23-29, 2019).

Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei will intervene in the parallel session Good Practices in the Energy Sector: Modeling and Simulation, Case-Studies, and Capacity Building within the International Conference on Sustainable Development (ICSD) presenting the main evidence from the technical report Roadmap to 2050: A Manual for Nations to Decarbonize by Mid-Century.
Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei will take part to the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) Leadership Council hosted by SDSN on September 26-27, 2019 at the Columbia University, intervening in the session Roadmap to 2050 and Energy Pathways.
“Roadmap to 2050: A Manual for Nations to Decarbonize by 2050” is a technical report drafted by FEEM and SDSN following a precise input from Paolo Carnevale and Jeffrey Sachs (SDSN Director), and represents the follow-up document of the FEEM & SDSN workshop Roadmap toward Total Decarbonization in 2050, organized in Milan on April 2-3, 2019. The drafting process of the report saw the involvement of more than 70 experts from all over the world, and it deals with the exploration of key technologies and policy solutions for the transition to zero-carbon emissions in four of the main energy-intensive sectors at global level: power, buildings, transport, and heavy industry. Thanks to the high technical level of the contributors, as well as to the focus on the individuation of viable and flexible solutions to different geographic contexts, the report has a great potential in terms of technology forecast and policy guidance, and it will be presented as input paper at the next UNFCC COP25, hosted in Santiago del Chile, from December 2 to 13, 2019.

Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei takes part in the SDSN’s Global Solutions Forum (GSF) organized by the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) on September 25, 2019 at the Columbia University, New York.
Laura Cavalli, researcher of the Agenda 2030 Area at Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei, will present the project Logistics of the future in Sustainable Smart Ports carried on together with Ericsson Italia, Porto di Livorno and the Italian National, Inter-University Consortium for Telecommunications (CNIT).
SDSN’s Global Solutions Forum (GSF) brings together the network’s sustainable development experts from around the world to showcase how they are implementing local initiatives that are advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The inaugural GSF will convene inspiring SDG actors for rapid-fire presentations where they can share progress, highlight victories, and inspire all of us to keep moving forward. Each Global Solution presentation will pack challenges and discoveries into 7 minutes of stories, images, and insights.
