Exploiting the strong relation between income and emissions, we estimate the global distribution of household CO2 emissions and project it forward to 2030. This consumption based analysis of individual emissions is used to track the national responsibility towards climate mitigation over time and to assess the interaction between carbon abatement and access to basic energy needs.
