Fondazione Giorgio Cini: International Center for Climate Governance (ICCG)

Located on the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore, right in front of Saint Mark's Square in Venice, ICCG gathers researchers in economics and political sciences who explore the interdependencies between economic, social, cultural, ethical, and political aspects of climate governance.

ICCG’s mission consists in disseminating  at the local, national and international level science-based and socio-economic research in the field of climate change mitigation and adaptation to policymakers and the general public through interdisciplinary activities, as well as producing climate and energy policy analyses and define optimal governance models to control climate change.

ICCG organizes scientific events of international relevance, lectures, seminars, workshops, develops interdisciplinary observatories  on specific aspects of climate governance, and promotes training activities targeted to researchers, policymakers and the general public.
Several other activities, such as art exhibitions and contests, cultural debates, and  film festivals are specifically conceived to involve various actors, and to inform the public at large. These events are characterized by an interdisciplinary and intercultural participation.
Furthermore, ICCG edits a wide collection of e-publications to support e-learning and research.

The ICCG activities are developed in collaboration and with the support of the Euro-Mediterranean Centre on Climate Change.
